I am a proud graduate of the Universidad Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n with a degree in Economics; then I decided to continue my academic training with a master’s degree in Municipal Management at the Universidad Veracruzana. My professional experience spans more than fifteen years in the public sector. In the teaching field, I became an undergraduate professor at the UCC Business School in 2019 and since 2021, I have been working as head of the academic area of the bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance and Economics.<\/p>\n

This degree began in 1969, with the name of Public Accounting, being one of the first careers of the University. It currently has several accreditations from CACECA (Consejo de Acreditaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Administrativas, Contable y Afines). This program is notable for its bilingual approach, allowing our students to study subjects in English at no additional cost, which gives them a competitive advantage at the international level. In addition, we adopt the Case Method, inspired by the Harvard Business School, which allows students to learn in a dynamic and practical way through real situations. Our students also have the possibility to choose an area of specialization during the last year of their degree in areas such as marketing, maritime economics and energy resources, supply chain management and legal studies.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, the Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance offers many opportunities for graduates of our institution, as they have a series of tools and knowledge that allow them to participate from different angles when making decisions in the financial, fiscal and budgetary areas, within or outside companies and institutions, or from their own accounting firms.<\/p>\n

I am particularly satisfied with our strong links with the business world, allowing our students to perform their professional internships and social service in different institutions. In addition, we coordinate visits to local and national companies as well as multinational companies that allow our students to glimpse the different activities they can develop and the tools that companies demand for it.<\/p>\n

Our students have access to business simulators such as PRAXIS MMT and LABSAG, and we have ASPEL licenses that are essential for their training.<\/p>\n

They also have the possibility of obtaining the AMIB figure III certification, as advisors in investment strategies, derived from the agreement that the UCC has with the Mexican Association of Stock Market Institutions, allowing students to be placed in better jobs in the financial sector.<\/p>\n

In our undergraduate program, we promote a humanistic perspective and a commitment to the integral formation of our students. We strive to develop ethical and responsible leaders, prepared to face the challenges of today’s world, always keeping in mind the motto of our University \u201cEducate to serve\u201d, a seal that distinguishes our graduates when they contribute their knowledge and skills in the different spaces in which they develop.<\/p>\n

Students participate in educational events such as Global Money Week, an international event organized by MIDE (Museo Interactivo de Econom\u00eda) whose objective is to raise awareness of financial issues among students so that they acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes for better decision making. They are also part of student groups such as IMEF Universitario and UCC Debate Society, a group created by UCC Business School students, which is undoubtedly a platform to develop leadership and communication skills.<\/p>\n

Our graduates are in various areas of the economic and financial sector, both nationally and internationally, and continue to demonstrate the value of the education received at UCC Business School, in banking institutions, brokerage firms, international companies in the port area, government institutions, consulting and auditing firms, to name a few.<\/p>\n
